Therapy and Counselng

  • Group Therapy

We understand the importance of fostering a supportive and nurturing environment, which is why we offer group therapy sessions as part of our comprehensive care approach.

Led by experienced and licensed therapists, our group therapy sessions provide participants with a safe space to express themselves, share experiences, and connect with others facing similar challenges. Through structured activities and discussions, participants develop valuable coping skills, improve communication, and build meaningful relationships within the community.

Topics covered in group therapy may include managing emotions, building self-esteem, enhancing social skills, and addressing specific issues such as trauma or addiction. Our goal is to empower residents to explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive group setting, facilitating personal growth and healing.

Group therapy at Acts 1:8 Services is not only therapeutic but also a source of encouragement, validation, and solidarity. By participating in group sessions, participants benefit from the collective wisdom and support of their peers, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie within the community.

  • One-On-One Therapy

We recognize the unique needs and challenges of each individual, which is why we offer personalized one-on-one therapy sessions as part of our comprehensive care program.

Our licensed therapists provide a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where participants can explore their thoughts, feelings, and concerns in depth. Through compassionate listening and evidence-based interventions, our therapists work collaboratively with participants to identify goals, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

One-on-one therapy allows participants to address a wide range of issues, including trauma, mental health conditions, addiction, grief, and relationship difficulties. Our therapists tailor treatment approaches to meet the specific needs and preferences of each resident, ensuring that therapy is effective and meaningful.

Whether residents are seeking support for emotional distress, navigating life transitions, or working towards personal goals, our one-on-one therapy sessions provide a valuable opportunity for self-reflection, healing, and empowerment. Our goal is to help residents cultivate resilience, build self-awareness, and lead fulfilling lives within our supportive community.

  • CDCA Counseling

We offer specialized counseling services facilitated by Certified Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistants (CDCA). These dedicated professionals are trained to provide compassionate support and guidance to participants who are struggling with substance abuse issues.

In CDCA counseling sessions, participants receive individualized care tailored to their unique circumstances and needs. Our counselors work collaboratively with participants to explore the underlying factors contributing to their substance use, develop coping strategies, and set achievable goals for recovery.

Using evidence-based techniques and a strengths-based approach, CDCA counselors empower residents to take ownership of their recovery journey and make positive changes in their lives. Whether residents are in the early stages of recovery or navigating long-term sobriety, our counseling services provide a supportive and non-judgmental space for healing and growth.

In addition to individual counseling, our CDCA staff may also facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops focused on topics such as relapse prevention, stress management, and healthy coping skills. By addressing the complex needs of participants struggling with substance abuse, we aim to promote long-term recovery and overall well-being within our community.
